Architectural Paintings

All the human rational, our blueprints and distillates of clever thought seem impoverished next to the richness of the real experience of being. To us the most interesting aspect of a human made object are the traces that life draws into the surface. So our eyes search for these traces when we paint. We want to paint the smell and the air, the sounds and the history. We tried to connect to the struggles that created it, the lives that occurred there and the ancient spirits that dwell.
